DESCRIPTION: Ever since I visited Carlsbad Caverns as a boy, I had wanted to see another spectacular cave site. This was it!
It takes about 1 ½ hours to do the walk through the cave but the time seems to fly by as you see one spectacular sight after another. Using well designed lighting to good effect, the various rooms of different types of limestone and rock formations are almost all unique. These range from intricate lacework to tall pillars to beautiful reflecting pools, to cavernous vaulted ceilings.
OTHER COMMENTS: Regardless of the temperature outside, the caves are a constant temperature all year long. If you are dressed for summer you will be fine, but if you are dressed for colder weather, you will end up taking off layers as you continue your walk through the up and down and humid interior.
